A Mission of Worship and Service

about the movement

Hero Worship was born from a deep desire in my heart to be more than just a voice of faith—I wanted to be an instrument of God’s love in action. As I reflected on 1 Corinthians 9:22-23, I realized that we are called to meet people where they are, to become all things to all people, and to bring the message of Christ through our service. I have seen firsthand the overwhelming needs in the forgotten villages of South Africa—families without homes, children without hope, and communities in need of love.

This movement is my response to that calling: to not only uplift through worship but to provide tangible help to those who need it most. Hero Worship is more than a mission—it’s a reflection of God’s heart for the world, merging faith with action to bring healing, restoration, and the power of transformation. My hope is that together, we can be the heroes these communities are praying for, offering them hope, dignity, and a future full of possibility.

Meet the Visionary Behind the Mission:

Christina Burns

Christina Burns is a Prophetess in training, anointed and nurtured under the tutelage of her mother, Master Prophet Sheryl Burns. In 2012, Christina's ministry journey began when she was called to minister through the art of mime, founding Dance Like David Mime Ministry. Through her dedication to prayer and consecration, she developed a ministry that communicates the heart of God through the discipline of mime, impacting countless lives by leading them into deep, personal encounters with God.

As Christina's ministry grew, she spearheaded the creation of David’s Army, a company of prophetic dancers who share God’s timeless message through the power of movement. Her passion is to equip and disciple others, especially the next generation, to fully commit their hearts to God. With a fine-tuned ear to the Holy Spirit, she instills truth, discipline, and a strong foundation of faith in those she trains, preparing them to walk boldly in their God-given purpose and identity.

In February 2024, Christina's life and ministry were forever changed during a mission trip to South Africa. Moved by the needs of the communities she encountered, Hero Worship was born. This mission blends Christina’s passion for prophetic dance with a deep calling to serve the vulnerable, building homes for the homeless, providing for the needy, and offering hope to forgotten villages.

Through Hero Worship, Christina envisions a merging of worship and service, creating a movement where faith is lived out in tangible acts of love and compassion. Her mission is to transform lives by bringing together the beauty of worship and the power of action, offering hope, healing, and purpose to communities in need.
